Passing of widely popular Mayo postman
THE death has taken place of Tom (Tommy) Heffron, Mountgordon, Westport Road, Castlebar, and formerly of Moygownagh.
The deceased was widely known throughout west Mayo due to his work as a postman in the Castlebar district.
News of his passing at Mayo University Hospital has cast a shadow of sadness and loss across the community.
He is survived by his wife Christine, sons Ciaran andShane, brother JJ (Moygownagh), sisters Margaret McManus (Leterkenny) and Geraldine Heffron (Moygownagh), aunt Annie May Diamond (Ballina), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.
His remains will be reposing at The Coady Funeral Home, Linenhall Street, Castlebar, on Tuesday evening from 6 until 7.30 p.m. with removal to his residence.
Removal from his residence takes place on Wednesday, arriving at the Church Of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar at 10.30 a.m. for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
Burial takes place afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
