Mayo Oireachtas member recovering from hip operation

A MAYO Oireachtas member's recovery from a hip operation is progressing very well.

Sinn Fèin Senator Rose Conway-Walsh told Community Radio Castlebar she is close to regaining full fitness after undergoing the surgery in early summer.

"It has not been easy but it did not stop me getting to as many events as I could over the summer months.

"I hope to get rid of my crutch within the next two weeks. Thanks to everyone for their kind messages of support," she added.
