Garda investigations ongoing into spate of robberies

Gardai have appealed for information after a string of thefts in Ballaghaderreen.

Four crimes occurred within hours of each other earlier this week in the town. 

Two burglaries were reported initially before two separate robberies occurred.

A woman suffered some minor injuries and had her phone, money and tablet taken after she was robbed outside a Bank of Ireland building.

An attempt was also made to rob a man in another area of the town a few hours later.

Six searches took places yesterday across three counties and some items were recovered.

Gardai seized a car believed to be used in the two robberies, which are thought to be linked, and two people were arrested.
