Ballycroy Post Office is reopening

AN Post have confirmed that Ballycroy Post Office will reopen for business on Monday, September 23.

The post office has been closed temporarily since December 31 last.

Minister Michael Ring has confirmed that the new post office will operate from a new premises co-located at Keane’s in Tallagh, Ballycroy. The new Postmaster is Mr. Anthony Keane.

Said Minister Ring: “I am delighted with the announcement that Ballycroy Post Office will reopen to the public on September 23. This is an issue that I have worked on for some time, having made very strong representations to An Post. I had impressed on them what a big loss this post office would be to the entire community. Councillor Gerry Coyle also maintained constant pressure on both me and An Post.

“I wish Anthony Keane the very best of luck in his new role. This is a good news day for the people of Ballycroy and the surrounding areas.”
