Met. Èireann issues Storm Lorenzo advisory notice

MET. Èireann has issued a nationwide Storm Lorenzo advisory notice.

It states: "There is a high probability that Storm Lorenzo will track close to or over Ireland on Thursday and early Friday, giving high seas, severe winds and heavy rain.

"Warnings will be issued tomorrow morning."

The notice is valid from 12 noon on Thursday to 12 noon on Friday.

It is understood the greatest concerns relate to counties along the western seaboard where a Status Orange warning is expected to be put in place.
