Mayo autism project awarded share of €100,000 Coca-Cola Thank You Fund

Coca-Cola has announced that a Mayo-based project has received €5,000 funding after winning the Coca-Cola Thank You Fund People’s Choice Award.

Manulla FC & Mayo Autism Youth Project were announced as the People’s Choice Award winner by popular broadcaster Doireann Garrihy at Zeminar, after the Irish public selected the Mayo project from 22 shortlisted community groups.

Developed to empower and support young people across the island of Ireland, is one of twelve successful non-profit organisations will each benefit from a share of the €100,000 Fund.

This year’s Coca-Coca Thank You Fund grant brings the total amount donated since 2011 to an incredible €1,055,000 to community projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

People’s Choice Award Winners Manulla FC & Mayo Autism Camp are enabling young adults of all abilities to come together through their new project promoting inclusivity in sport.

The goal of this project is to educate and train young people about disability inclusion in sport, so that they can become youth coaches and lead in creating a more supportive and inclusive community for all their peers.
