Work underway on €3m. GAA air dome at east Mayo facility

WORK has got underway on the development of the new air dome facility at the GAA Centre of Excellence at Bekan, near Ballyhaunis.

The €3 million project, the biggest sporting facility its type in the world, is expected to be completed in January and ready to host FBD League matches.

The playing surface will be similar in size to Elverys MacHale Park in Castlebar and there are spectator facilities for 600.
