LEADING public relations guru Lesley Emerson profiles the three finalists in Best Beauty Salon category of The Connaught Telegraph Mayo Style Awards at Breaffy House Resort next Friday night.
Ann Marie Hughes, Manulla
Ann Marie Hughes is a freelance Makeup Artist based in Manulla. She specialises in bridal party makeups, going to the bride’s home to minimise disruption.
After the makeups are completed, Ann Marie stays at the home until they are ready to go. She never rushes clients or books them too close together.
Ann Marie is also available for Debs, graduations, parties or any other special occasions where a professional makeup will make a difference.
She has a diploma in Makeup Artistry from the International School of Makeup Artistry as is ITEC qualified, and has also completed a Val Garland online course through Mastered.

She and her team of therapists are qualified in a wide range of treatments – skincare, beauty and waxing.

Kelly likes to introduce new treatments and to keep prices competitive for her clients.

At 5 Star Beauty in Chapel Street Castlebar, Augustina MiliušienÄ— takes nail art to a new level. Originally from Vilnius, Lithuania, she is passionate about nails, nail care and nail art.
Augustina completed training with Indigo Nails Ireland and is a very experienced nail artist. Her social media galleries show a rainbow of nails in different colours and designs.
Some are for occasions like weddings, some are seasonal like autumn hues for this time of year or red for yuletide.
