Minister to officially open new Mayo school building

THE Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring will perform the official opening of the new Sancta Maria School building in Louisburgh tomorrow.

The ceremony takes place at 11 a.m. and coincides with the centenary of the secondary school which was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1919.

The double celebrations will be marked in style and past pupils and former staff members have been invited to attend.
