Beautiful mosaic by Castlebar Foroige is unveiled at Mayo Hospice

THE Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring, has officially unveiled a new mosaic, entitled ‘The Flight of the Swallows’ at the Mayo Roscommon Hospice in Castlebar.

It was presented to the Hospice by members of Castlebar Foroige who designed and  crafted the beautiful artwork over a series of weeks.

Speaking at the event Minister Ring stated: “This wonderful mosaic, “The Flight of the Swallows,” really represents what this hospice is about.

“Providing compassionate care to those who draw close to the end of life’s journey requires compassion and sensitivity.

“The thoughtful manner in which this beautiful new hospice has been fitted out is a testament to the understanding and empathy that everyone here has shown.

“'The Flight of the Swallows' gives a sense of calmness and serenity at a very difficult time in people’s and their families' lives.

“All at Castlebar Foróige should be very proud of the work by the club members for this initiative.”
