Investigation into Mayo accident which left pedestrian injured

AN investigation is taking place after a pedestrian was knocked down by a vehicle at Doctor's Road in Ballyhaunis today.

The injured woman was taken by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar after receiving medical treatment at the scene.

Her injuries have been described as 'significant but not life threatening'.
