Gardai in Mayo investigating suspected stabbing incident

GARDAÌ in Mayo are investigating a suspected stabbing incident in which a man in his 20s sustained injuries.

The attack occurred at a dwelling at Thomas Street in Castlebar earlier today.

The victim was transferred by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital for medical treatment. 

Investigations are ongoing into an incident that has shocked the community.
