New facility built at busy Mayo seafront location

A NEW facility has been built at one Mayo's busiest seafront locations.

The Quay in Westport, a location very popular with tourists, has seen the completion of a modern pontoon and slipway.

Local Councillor Peter Flynn said the facilities are a most welcome addition to the area and will be of huge benefit to all involved in water-related activities.

He praised those responsible for getting the funding application and work completed before the deadline.

Councillor Flynn also praised Minister Michael Ring for his funding allocation.
