Kilmaine .................1-9
(After extra time)
IT was heartbreak for Kilmaine in the All-Ireland JFC club semi-final as they went down to Kerry champions, Na Gaeil, by a single point, after extra time at Ennis.
In what was a fantastic game of football Kilmaine gave it theid all and had they better luck in the second period of extra-time they could easily have won this game.
The sides were level at half time, 1-3 to 0-6, with Kilmaine's Michael Hession executing a wonderful goal in the 13th minute.
In the second half the Kerry side opened up a three-point lead.
However, Kilmaine dug deep and forced extra-time after scoring three unanswered points - two from Adam Barrett and one from Thomas Fahey.
Na Gaeil managed to go two points in the first period of extra-time.
However, within minutes of the start of the second period of extra-time, Kilmaine's Jarath McDonagh made it a one-point game.
But despite dominating the remaining minutes Kilmaine could just not get the equaliser despite having several chances.
