Passing of member of old Castlebar family

THE death has taken place of Margaret (Baby) McDonnell-Conway (née McTigue), Garryduff Court and late of Cornanool, Castlebar, and Snugboro.

A member of an old and respected Castlebar family, she was held in high regard in the community.

Predeceased by her husbands Martin McDonnell and Martin Conway and brothers John and Frank, she is survived by her son Michael (Ballintubber), daughter Margaret (Timlin), daughter-in-law Martha, son-in-law Kevin, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Her remains will be reposing at the Coady Funeral Home, Linenhall Street, Castlebar, on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Funeral Mass takes place on Friday at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
