Work progressing on €3m. GAA Air Dome in Mayo
WORK is progressing steadily on the new €3 million GAA Air Dome at the Connacht Centre of Excellence at Bekan, Ballyhaunis
When completed the facility will be the biggest sports dome in the world, measuring 150x100 metres and being 26 metres high.
The playing surface will be the same size as that in Elvery's MacHale Park in Castlebar.
The dome, which will accommodate over 600 spectators, is expected to available for use for all sports when up and running.
