Tesco introducing parking charges at top Mayo store

CAR parking charges are being introduced for the first time at Tesco supermarket in Castlebar.

They come into effect from open of business tomorrow morning.

The fee is €1 per hour with a maximum parking time of two hours in place.

There is a full refund for shoppers when making purchases of €15 or over.

This can be achieved by presenting or scanning the barcode of the ticket at the checkout.

Customers were informed of the development while visiting the supermarket today.

Parking ticket machines have been erected throughout the large car park.
