Passing of widely popular Castlebar personality
THE death has taken place of Jim Cunniffe, Springfield Terrace, Castlebar.
Aged 91, he worked as a salesman with the former Castlebar Bacon Company for many years.
A native of Moneen, he was a member of an old and respected local family and news of his passing is deeply mourned in the community at large.
Predeceased by his wife Josie, he is sadly regretted by his sons John and Brian, daughter Siobhan, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.
His remains will be reposing at The Coady Funeral Home, Linenhall Street, Castlebar, on Friday from 6 until 7.30 p.m. with removal to The Church Of The Holy Rosary, arriving at 8 p.m.
Requiem Mass takes place on Saturday at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the New Cemetery.
