Moves to enhance Covid-19 containment measures

THE Department of Health has confirmed it is anow moving to enhancing its Covid-19 containment measures.

These measures include four steps the general public is asked to observe.

1. Practice everyday preventive actions like hand washing and cough/sneeze etiquette.

2. Consider how to limit your social interactions; avoid indoor, crowded spaces.

3. Shaking hands and close personal contact are to be avoided.

4.Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Know the symptoms of COVID-19.

All healthcare workers are being asked to raise their index of suspicion for COVID-19.

The HSE will be substantially increasing its contact tracing and surveillance capacity in the coming days.
