Mayo Football League start postponed

The Mayo Football League have decided to postpone the start of the leagues, which were due to commence this weekend, until further notice.

“We have taken this decision in the light of the serious public health issues due to the Covid-19 virus, which is prevalent in our country,” said Mayo Football League chairman Gerry Sweeney.

“We understand that this will cause some disruption with all our clubs, players and supporters but the health of everyone is our utmost priority at this difficult time. We are of course hopeful things will improve sooner rather than later but for now let everyone stay safe.”
