Hotel offers OAP menu in response to empty shelves image
A WESTPORT hotel has launched a special menu for vulnerable people who may be struggling with shopping amid the coronavirus chaos.
In response what they described as a 'horrible image' circulating online this morning, featuring an elderly lady faced with empty shelves in a supermarket, the Wyatt Hotel are launching a dinner menu for any OAPs or less able members of the community who might struggle to shop in the current crazy situation in supermarkets.
The hotel explained on its Facebook page: 'The menu will be valid everyday from 12 to 6 p.m. It will feature hearty main courses like turkey and ham, hotpot and salmon. Each main course will cost €6.50.
'We will observe social distancing with additional space between tables.
'Let’s pray this doesn’t go on too long. Best wishes and stay safe from all at The Wyatt Hotel.'
