Mayo GAA stars following individual fitness plans during shutdown
THE members of the Mayo senior squad are individually keeping in shape in their own homes during the shutdown of games.
Con Moynihan, vice-chairman of the county board, told The Connaught Telegraph: “With the ban on group activities in place, including any training sessions in the GAA, as is the case in every sport, the Mayo senior management, headed by James Horan, has given each of their squad members a plan to keep in shape in their own homes.
“While there are different plans for each player, watching their diet and weight training will be part of most players' plans.
"While the Mayo management will be keeping strictly to the ban they will be able to take some comfort in the knowledge that every other county's senior panels have to do likewise," added Moynihan.
