Passing of retired Mayo Bus Èireann inspector
The death has occurred of TJ Henehan, Windsor, Castlebar and formerly of Ballylahan, Straide.
He passed away surrounded by his devoted wife of 53 years, Teresa and his loving family, sons Ger and Sean and his daughter Fiona.
TJ was a well known personality throughout the town and the county.
TJ worked for Bus Éireann starting out driving school buses and then going onto Road Passenger where he ended up as an Inspector.
His stories and ability to talk to anyone, no matter the age or the walk of life was one of his well known traits.
And this was apparent when he retired from Bus Eireann with the amount of retirement functions that were held in his honour.
He was also involved in a number of other groups including the Manchester United Supporters Club, the Friends of the Sacred Heart Hospital and Rock Rose House.
He took up golf as a pastime and loved nothing more than to be out on the course with his fellow buddies, but his illness stopped him from continuing the sport.
Throughout his illness, which he bore with dignity and courage, he never complained and was well cared for until the end by his beloved wife, Teresa.
May TJ rest in peace.
There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
