Number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mayo stands at 183

THE number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mayo has risen to 183.

The figure was measured at midnight last Friday and published this evening by the Department of Health.                  

It represents an increase of 15 from the statistics published yesterday.

Mayo has now the highest number of confirmed cases in Connaught.

The number of confirmed cases in Galway is 178, Sligo 45, Leitrim 32 and Roscommon 31.

Nationally, there were 14 further Covid-19 deaths, bringing the total to 344. 

An additional 722 new confirmed cases were recorded, including test results which were sent to Germany for testing.

The total figure of those who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ireland now stands at 9,655.
