Arrested woman spat at gardaí in Mayo

A WOMAN arrested under the Public Order Act in Swinford yesterday (Tuesday) evening subsequently spat at two gardaí.

Members of the divisional roads unit had directed a number of individuals to leave Main Street in the town while on duty in the evening.

One arrested after refusing to leave subsequently spat at two members while in a patrol car.

The woman has been charged and is due to appear in court at a later date.
