Mayo County Council confirms arrangements for monthly meeting

MAYO County Council has confirmed the first statutory meeting of the authority since the outbreak of Covid-19 will held in Áras An Chontae, Castlebar, on Monday at 2 p.m.

In light of the coronavirus situation special measures to ensure physical distancing will apply to this meeting.

A managed quorum is asked to attend in order to enable the council to conduct statutory business.

This quorum consists of the cathaoirleach, the chairs of Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs) and party/group whips (10 councillors).

Staff present will be confined to the chief executive and the meetings administrator.

Press will be limited to one representative from broadcast media and one from the print media.

The agenda is:

1. To confirm Minutes of Mayo County Council Meeting held on 9th March, 2020.

2. To approve the Roadworks Scheme for 2020.

3. To approve the lease of land at Knockaphunta and The Curragh, Castlebar, to Castlebar Celtic Football Club, in accordance with Section 183 Notice dated 9th April 2020, already circulated.

4.To approve the licence of land at Aghadrinagh, Castlebar to Wills BAM Joint Adventure, Castlebar in accordance with Section 183 Notice dated 9th April 2020, already circulated.

5. To approve the disposal of land at Westport Industrial Park (Site No. 24), Newport Road, Westport to Killian O’Briain Limited in accordance with Section 183 Notice, dated 9th April 2020, already circulated.
