Update on number of Covid-19 cases at Mayo hospital

THE HSE has disclosed that 27 patients with confirmed Covid-19 are currently receiving treatment at Mayo University Hospital.

The figure is based on statistics recorded at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

It represents a decrease of one from Friday's figure.

One of the 27 cases was confirmed positive in the previous 24 hours.

There are a further 18 patients at the facility with suspected Covid-19, an increase of one.

There is one vacant clinical bed at the hospital and 48 vacant general beds.
