Number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mayo is now 335

THE number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mayo has reached 335. 

The figure was measured at midnight last Sunday and published this evening by the Department of Health.

It represents an increase of three from the statistics published yesterday.

The number of confirmed cases in Galway is 294, Sligo 93, Roscommon 91, Sligo 78 and Leitrim 54.

Nationally, there were 44 further Covid-19 deaths, bringing the total to 730. Two of today's deaths were in the west of Ireland.

An additional 388 new confirmed cases were recorded.

The total figure of those who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Ireland now stands at 16,040.

The Department of Health has announced that 8,377 people have recovered from the virus in Ireland without requiring hospital treatment.
