Anti-Lockdown protest staged in Mayo

A peaceful protest opposing the government's current Lockdown restrictions due to Covid-19 has been staged in Mayo today.

It took place at Market Square in Castlebar.

A number of people stood at the location carrying Irish flags and their placards made their message abundantly clear.

One proclaimed: "Free the healthy, build immunity."

Another stated: "All the models were wrong - why are we still following them?"
