Number of Covid-19 cases at Mayo hospital drops by eight
The number of Covid-19 cases being treated at Mayo University Hospital has fallen by eight in a 24-hour period.
According to figures measured by the HSE at the facility at 8 p.m. yesterday, there are 13 confirmed cases and one suspected case.
That's nine less confirmed cases since the previous statistics were recorded at 8 p.m. on Monday evening.
However, there is one suspected case compared to zero on May 24.
There are 22 vacant general beds, a reduction of five, and two vacant critical care beds - no change.
Two confirmed cases are in the critical care unit along with one suspected case.
