Good news on the double from Mayo University Hospital

Good news on the double has been reported by the HSE in respect of Mayo University Hospital today.

Firstly, the facility's critical care unit is Covid-19 free for the second consecutive day.

Secondly, there are no new suspected cases for the second day in a row.

These are two very positive indicators in the county's fight against the virus.

There are 41 vacant general beds and two vacant critical care beds at the Castlebar hospital.

The facility is still treating a number of confirmed Covid-19 cases, listed as nine in the HSE's May 29 report.
