Mayo's 14th successive day without a new confirmed Covid-19 case
Mayo has reached a 14th consecutive day without a new confirmed Covid-19 case.
That's according to figures released this evening by the Department of Health.
The last date on which an increase was shown for the county was on Saturday, May 30.
Of Mayo's 570 cases, it is estimated that over 500 of those cases have recovered to date.Galway and Roscommon remain on 485 and 341, respectively.
Sligo stays on 128 for the 27th consecutive day, with Leitrim having 84.
Nationally, the Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been informed that a total of 5 people with Covid-19 have died.
There have now been a total 1,705 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.
Validation of data at the HPSC has resulted in the denotification of five deaths.
As of midnight on Friday the HPSC has been notified of 46 new confirmed cases of Covid-19. There is now a total of 25,295 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Of the 46 new cases, 22 of these samples were taken on Monday (12) and Tuesday (10) and would normally have been reported on Thursday and Friday but, for technical reasons as part of normal laboratory practice at the National Virus Reference Laboratory (NVRL), are being reported today.
Contact tracing has already been undertaken for the majority of these cases.Dr. Tony Holohan, chief medical officer, said: "Today’s increase in notifications of COVID-19 is not an increase in the daily incidence of the disease.
"When the cases are analysed according to the date the samples were taken, it shows that they were spread out over a number of days.
"All the indicators of the disease are stable or reducing. We will continue to closely monitor these every day."
