Mayo University Hospital's fourth day in a row without a Covid case
Mayo University Hospital is without a Covid-19 patient for a fourth successive day.
The news has been reported by the HSE following statistics compiled at the Castlebar facility at 8 p.m. yesterday.
It is also the 16th consecutive day that no new suspected cases have been admitted to the centre, a period during which the hospital's ICU has been free of Covid patients.
The number of vacant general beds has decreased from 19 to 15 since Thursday and there are four vacant critical care beds, an increase of four.
Figures are not available at this point in regard to the extent of contact tracing in the county.
This information is central in establishing when Mayo will have defeated the virus.
