Call for passport office for western region

A Mayo TD is campaigning for the opening of a passport office to serve the western region.

Deputy Alan Dillon said a new passport office would ideally serve people travelling from Ireland West Airport Knock as well as Shannon Airport.

He asked for the matter to be given serious consideration.

Deputy Dillon raised the matter when highlighting concerns in regard to the current backlog of applications.
