Mayo University Hospital now 30 days without a confirmed Covid-19 case

Mayo University Hospital has reached a 30th day without a confirmed Covid-19 case being treated at the facility.

That's according to the latest figures recorded by the HSE.

June 9 was the last date a confirmed case was registered at the Castlebar centre.

The HSE reported on Sunday that one suspected case was being treated in the hospital's ICU.

However, the facility was restored to Covid-free status within 24 hours.

There is one vacant critical care bed and 21 vacant general beds at the hospital.
