Two more Covid deaths, 23 new confirmed cases

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been informed that two people with Covid-19 have died.

There has now been a total of 1,746 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland.

As of midnight on Friday, the HPSC has been notified of 23 confirmed cases of Covid-19.

There is now a total of 25,611 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Validation of data at the HPSC has resulted in the denotification of one confirmed case. The figure of 25,611 reflects this.

From Monday, the wearing of face masks while travelling on public transport is compulsory.
