Search and rescue boat stripped of €10,000 worth of equipment
EQUIPMENT worth over €10,000 has been taken from a search and rescue boat in south Mayo.
Corrib Mask Search and Rescue has reported on social media this afternoon that their newly acquired Zodiac boat has been stripped of its Yamaha engine and GPS plotter. The value of this equipment is upwards of €10,000.
The team issued this appeal: If anyone was in the vicinity of Cong within the last 48 hours, have seen, heard, or if someone tried to sell any parts of a boat, please contact Claremorris Garda Station on (094) 9372080 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 250 025.
