St. Colman's College celebrating 75th anniversary

SAINT Colman's College in Claremorris is 75 years old this year.

The college was established in August 1945 and despite the Covid-19 restrictions, both in the college and in society at large, the school want to mark their anniversary in some small way.

They are asking people who have had any association with the college over the years, either as students, former teachers and staff, parents' associations, friends and associates, to reminisce and think about your links to St. Colman's. If you have any thoughts or ideas about what you think would be appropriate (and manageable!) over the course of this academic year, they would love to hear from you.

St. Colman's will be organising a few events over the next number of months to acknowledge and celebrate the past while looking ahead to the future with a sense of optimism and confidence.

The college has seen thousands of wonderful people pass through its doors over the decades, many of whom have made their mark in society both here in Ireland and abroad, and they can all proudly claim to be alumni of St. Colman's.

If you, or someone you know, would like to share your memories, send them to office@stcolmans.ie.

They would love to see photos or video footage you might have, perhaps relating to sporting occasions, social occasions or alumni gatherings.

Various publications have been put together over the years but the college are looking for more material, so check those photo albums or old newspaper clippings that you may have.

Keep an eye on the college Facebook page, on Twitter @SaintColmans and the website https://www.stcolmans.ie/ for further updates. There will also be notices in the local press.
