Intensive care unit at Mayo hospital is still free of Covid

Four confirmed Covid-19 case are still in care at Mayo University Hospital today.

That's according to statistics recorded by the HSE at 8 p.m. yesterday.

There are no suspected cases and the intensive care unit at the centre remains Covid-free.

The Castlebar facility has three vacant general beds, an increase of one in 24 hours, and one vacant critical care bed, one more than yesterday.

Nationally, there are 230 confirmed cases in Irish hospitals, a hike of 14, and 108 suspected cases, down by 16.

The hospital with the highest number of confirmed cases is Cavan with 30 with the Beaumont has 21 and Letterkenny 20.

Like Mayo University Hospital, Galway University Hospital has four confirmed cases,

Up to 32 Covid patients are in intensive care units, a rise of two in 24 hours.
