Status Yellow rainfall warning for Mayo

A Status Yellow rainfall warning has been put in place for Mayo and it also covers Galway, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.

Through tonight and Wednesday, 30 to 50 mm of rain will fall with higher amounts in mountainous areas.

It will cause flooding in places, reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions.

The warning is valid from 6 p.m. today to 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
