Unique knitted nativity crib to be raffled in aid of South Mayo Branch of MS Ireland
Here is something magical to behold – a knitted nativity crib.
The crib is on display in Liam Cannon’s Fruit and Veg. Shop, Hopkins Road, Castlebar.
It was made by Pauline Keane, partner of Liam's brother Pat, and Gerry Murray.
Pauline knitted the nativity figures while the frame of the crib was created by Gerry.
Liam will raffle the crib on December 23, with the proceeds going to the South Mayo Branch of MS Ireland, the charity that supports people living with multiple sclerosis.
Liam told The Connaught Telegraph that the crib has attracted immense interest among his customers.
“Everybody is asking about it and they would love to have one in their own homes for Christmas.
“I was delighted when my brother, Pat, came up with the idea because I try to raise money for MS every year. It's an organisation that has been very good to me.
“So far people have been very supportive of the draw and I am very thankful for that,” added Liam.
Lines cost €2 each, or you can buy three line for €5.
Just drop into Liam's shop in Castlebar to sign up for the raffle.
