Council asked to consider provision of toilets along greenway

MAYO County Council has been asked to consider toilet facilities along the greenway.

There were mobile toilets along the route near Westport for a number of months, where you turn off for Myna Church in Kilmeena, and they were availed of by a lot of people using the greenway, Councillor John O'Malley told a Westport-Belmullet Municipal District meeting.

Then they were removed, though he did surmise that maybe the reason they were there in the first place was due to a roads work project.

Councillor O'Malley said they were a great asset and he asked if there was any chance they could be brought back there for those people.
