Mayo woman is finalist in Digital Business Awards

Mayo woman Jacinta Collins has been named as a finalist in the upcoming Digital Business Awards, beating off stiff competition from over 300 entries..

The inaugural DBI awards are designed to celebrate the best of digital businesses in Ireland.

The entrepreneur and brand director, alongside her business partner Pamela Finn, founded video media agency Hashtag Media in 2017.

Since then they have won Top 100 Companies in Ireland, Digital Innovator of the Year in 2019 and, most recently, they have been confirmed as finalists in the ‘Women In Digital Media’ category of Digital Business Ireland’s awards, which recognise the best digital and innovation businesses in Ireland while celebrating talent across the industry.

Hashtag launched Social TV - TV designed for social media - in Los Angeles last year and it continues to grow in strength, with the video media company announced as broadcast partner for World Skills Ireland earlier this month.

Jacinta said: ''Time, energy, commitment, positivity and creativity are important in business today and it is great to be recognised as we continue to merge mainstream television with social media."

Award winners will be announced on January 22.
