No further Covid cases identified at Claremorris school directed not to close as a result of outbreak

No further confirmed Covid-19 cases have been identified by public health at Claremorris Boys National School.

The news was confirmed ahead of the school's reopening this morning, having earlier planned to close from last Friday to January 5, inclusive of Christmas holidays, due to an outbreak of the pandemic at the facility.

Up to 12 cases of the virus were revealed last week along with a further four on Saturday.

Some parents have indicated they are keeping their children at home due to their concerns.

Only seven pupils attended on Monday.
