Facade of Castlebar's Linenhall being restored

THE facade of the Linenhall Arts Centre in the heart of Castlebar is being restored to its former glory.

The old town hall door is being removed this morning (Tuesday) to be restored by Mellott's Joinery in Ballinrobe.

And, over the next few weeks, all of the windows will also be replaced by the sash window specialists, bringing the exterior of the building back to its former glory.

In a social media post, they explained how the project is a partnership with Mayo County Council, led by Siobhan Sexton, architectural conservation officer.

It is supported by Castlebar Municipal District in their ongoing work with the restoration of the Linenhall Arts Centre building.
