Mark Peters steps down as Claremorris AFC coach

CLAREMORRIS AFC have announced that Mark Peters has stepped down from his role as first-team coach.

Peters stepped into the role in 2015 and he helped consolidate the club's position in the Elvery Sports Super League, following the club's promotion that year.

Paying tribute to Peters, the club said in a statement he was their most qualified coach and "has imparted that knowledge to others, enabling the club to develop coaches at all levels."

Off the pitch, the club added that his contribution has been "second to none", involving himself with all matters relating to the running of the club, including time in the chairman's seat.

"Knowing Mark and his love for Claremorris AFC, he won't be away from the action for long, but for now we wish him all the best and leave him with a genuine thanks from everyone involved in the club past and present," the statement concluded.
