Planning permission granted for new Mayo Aldi supermarket

Aldi Ireland has been granted planning permission by Mayo County Council to develop a new supermarket at on Bury Street in Ballina.

The news has been welcomed by local Councillor Mark Duffy.

He stated: "It will be a welcome development in terms of bringing a derelict site back into use and retaining a strong shopping experience in the town centre, which is vital for the overall vibrancy of the town."
