Appointment of new chief executive of Mayo County Council to be ratified on March 8
The Public Appointments Service has recommended the appointment of Kevin Kelly to the post of chief executive of Mayo County Council.
It is also the recommendation of the corporate policy group of the council to appoint him to the role.
An online in-committee meeting of the council has been scheduled for March 8 at 11 a.m. to consider the appointment at the request of the cathaoirleach, Councillor Richard Finn.
Mr. Kelly has served as interim chief executive of Galway County Council for the past number of years.
He will replace Peter Hynes who retired from the role last May after 10 years at the helm.
