Mayo hotel announces expansion plans

THE Gateway Hotel in Swinford has announced expansion plans.

A new outdoor dining area and more family bedrooms are to be added to the popular family-run hotel.

Posting on the hotel's social media earlier, Cathal Kelly shared the photo here of his parents, Imelda and Charles, posting up the notice for planning permission.

The plan is to expand into an adjacent building that was a doctor's surgery and develop an outdoor dining area and more family bedrooms.

He stated: “This is part of our ongoing plans to grow and develop our family-run hotel, The Gateway Swinford.

“Our aim, as always, is to continue to offer exceptional products and service to all our customers and guests.

“I look forward to bringing you more details on this exciting new Gateway Swinford project over the coming weeks and months and we look forward to welcoming you back when it is safe to do so.”
