Mayo sports clubs developing their facilities
SPORT may be on hold for now but lots of clubs are actively investing in their facilities and planning for the future.
Two clubs in Mayo have lodged plans with Mayo County Council for developments at their grounds.
Parke-Keelogues-Crimlin GAA Club are seeking to erect six 16-metre columns with floodlights at their grounds in Parke.
Aghamore GAA Club are seeking permission for the construction of a two-storey extension to the side of the existing clubhouse, incorporating changing rooms with toilet and shower facilities on the ground floor and a new gymnasium/training room on the first floor.
Meanwhile, St. Louis Community School in Kiltimagh is also looking to improve its sports facilities.
The board of management have submitted plans for an upgrade of the existing football pitch to an astro pitch, plus the erection of pitch lighting and two ball stop nets.
